Ha ha…so, no really. My head is wearing a SLEEVE from one of my husband’s old shirts. I was cutting a shirt he was going to give away so I can make one of these 90 minute shirts from Dana …{I’ll let you know how that turns out}…and I was eying the sleeve. I wondered if my head could fit in there…and it did! I cut little slits to make it more decorative. It kind of reminds me of the head wraps you see in Jane Austen movies…kind of.
None of the edges are sewn and don’t need to be. After you put it on a few times the sections kind of roll up. It makes for a pretty casual headband but it is free and EASY!
1. Cut the sleeve off AFTER the seam that connects it to the shirt.
2. Cut off the hem of the sleeve to the width you like.
3. Leave it like this or cut slits. You’re done!

how cute and simple! I'm snagging a t-shirt right now!

Thanks for this! I have a pile of shirts in the basement that were for screen printing practice, but all the sleeves are unused. I'm wearing a lovely new royal blue headband right now (and will make my daughter a red one if she behaves…)
