I saw these salt dough snowflake ornaments from Lorajean’s Magazine and fell in love! Not having any glitter or a snowflake cookie cutter and not wanting to purchase anything for this project, I decided to make stars and gingerbread men instead.
I used her recipe found here. She adds food coloring and spices to the dough to make it look like real cookies. Genius…if you ask me. I love them!
They are so sweet, I could almost eat them.
Whoops…I guess I already did!
Ha ha. 😉 So I am kidding of course. I took a straw and took “bite” marks out of his head. Kind of like this felt version from Anna from Noodlehead.
This would be a fun one to do with kids. I tried making these with mine but one quit after making just one ornament and the other quit when his hands got too messy helping to make the dough. Sigh. I had fun though!

oh, I love that you have your oranges on your tree. I was just in California at my in-laws and she had dried oranges here and there as well! I thought of you!
