Who can accurately measure the worth of a mother?
Motherhood is more than loads of laundry, clean dishes, a warm dinner, and help with homework.
Motherhood is the shaping of lives by word, by example, and by love.
It can extend beyond one’s own children, and often involves the loving, shaping, and caring of many others.
There are many women, with or without children, who are a powerful force for good in the lives of others, and thus rightfully deserve the term “mother” in it’s truest sense.
And it is these “mothers” who Kendra and I want to honor this week.
This week Kendra from Belleza Mia is giving away this sweet necklace:
There is a tag for each child or special person in their life and a gem in their birth stone color.
Simple, sweet, and meaningful.
You can choose your font…
personalize the gems…
and create an endearing keepsake for that special woman or mother in your life.
To win this giveaway we are asking for nominations. Just leave a comment telling us why a special mother in your life deserves to be honored. Anyone can enter. You can be a child nominating a parent, a husband nominating a wife, a friend nominating a fellow mother or friend…
Kendra and I will read through each story and choose one who we feel is most deserving. We will then contact you to get this person’s information, and send the necklace to her by Mother’s Day.
Please…one comment per person.
The Giveaway will end this Friday, April 29th at 8 PM.
A winner will be announced on Saturday.
Of course you can purchase this necklace or other personalized jewelry. Just visit Belleza Mia.
And remember that if you use my code: deliacreates you can 15% of your order anytime.
Have a blessed day!

I would like to nominate my own mother who always put her family first. She worked as a teacher to help support our family. My mom has been such a wonderful example to me. She and my dad encouraged me to stay in college even though I was frustrated and now I'm in grad school. My mom is wonderful and there isn't enough room to say all I feel about her. You'll have to trust me, she&

I would like to nominate my sister, Jenna – who as a young, single mother has raised a beautiful, intelligent, most-of-the-time well behaved daughter named Sophie. My baby sister is now 25 and still doing it on her own. I am not sure how she has done it for the last 5 years but she has and she's amazing! I, as a new mother, look up to her in SO many ways and know I can call her any time of

I would love to nominate my mom. She has always put us first and done things that have made our lives better, even if she had to sacrifice. She has been a great example on what a Christian mother/wife should be. She has taught me so many things that I can't wait to teach my own children!

I'm nominating my mom. After having raised my brother and I faithfully for so many years, her and my Dad are very soon going to have an empty nest — I'm about to finish college, but moreso, my little brother, who just made it through Navy Bootcamp, is getting married in just 2 months. My mom wrote him letters every day of bootcamp, and now sends him a package of treats and little notes

I'd like to nominate my mother. She is the most selfless woman I know. She does nothing for praise and only rarely receives it. I couldn't think of another better example to me and to all those around her. She serves everyone around her, no matter what they give in return.

I would like to nominate my mother, because she's the glue that keeps our family together! She always taught us that we can accomplish anything and showed us unconditional love. She is a nurturer to many people, as she adopted four of my cousins 12 years ago and is still welcoming family members into her home so that they can progress.
During these times where the economy is not so good

As a mother of seven my mom definatly deserves a treat! She is a great woman that is more than a mom, but a best friend to all of us kids. Pick her as the winner!

My friend Heather has had a very bumpy last two years. Her husband lost his job, forcing them to move in with in-laws. She added sweet baby number five to her home and helped her mom battle cancer during this time. She just lost her mother this week. Things have been rough to say the least, but I so admire her faith and optimism through all of this and her willingness to help others, even

I would like to nominate my mother. She has always put our needs ahead of her own, and it's her turn to be a little pampered. She has suffered through a loss of her brother to cancer, and Also took on the responsibility of caring for her mother as she got older and couldn't take care of herself. She has always been there for me, and will continue to be. She is an amazing mother, and

My mom is the most selfless person. She taught us all the importance of looking out for other people. When people give me a compliment I can tell them it was how I was raised. I love my mom and she would love this necklace!

As a new mom with a ten-day old, I nominate my mom. Her and my dad just spent ten days with us, 1,500 miles away from home. She not only helped me feel comfortable in my new role as mom by giving me the positive reassurances I needed to hear, her and my dad got to work and transformed our house with DIY home improvements. My mom can shush a baby, then turn around and wield a saw and a drill like

I would like to nominate my mom. She is the eptiome of strength. She dreamed of being a movie star and drove across country from her home in Michigan to Hollywood CA alone in the 50's. She didn't think she would ever get married and once she did, she didn't think she could carry a child to full term. She has given of herself unselfishly my whole life. When my father passed away

My mother should be honored because she raised my brother and I with great values, love, and respect and she's truly the glue that holds our family together. She sacrificed everything to do anything for us. Unfortunately, I won't be able to celebrate with her this year and I hope to win this necklace, so at least she can understand how much she means to us.

I spent my childhood worrying about what kind of mom I would be. I used to watch my mom in her interactions with us, her six children and the many foster children she cared for over the years. I watched her as she rocked a screaming baby that was coming down from his mother's addiction. I watched her painstakingly teach his mother how to be a good mom, teaching her to cook and to bathe her

I would like to nominate my mom! She has not only been a great mom, but my best friend. My dad travels a lot for work, and always has so she has spent many times alone helping us with homework, taking care of us when we are sick, and being to every thing I was a part of. I now realize how hard that must have been for her when all of us were small. Now she is a great grandma! I love my mom so

I would love to nominate my own Mama. She decided to give up a great job to raise the 4 of us and never looked back. We didn't have a load of money growing up and us kids really had no idea because she made such a huge effort to make our childhood about experiences instead of things. The wonderful thing about my Mom is that now that my sibblings and I are grown, she is still there when we

I want to nominate my daughter. She has three children, but she is also the mother of all who need mothering, including me. In particular she has made a difference in so many lives. I am in awe of how she operates. Always happy and always willing to help anyone who needs it. They don't even have to ask. She sees a need and she is there. She doesn't wave any flags either, it's

I would like to nominate Jess, a friend of mine. She has 5 children, one of whom has special needs. Her daughter, Madison, has been in an out of the hospital all year…all her life actually. They struggle for money and even more so now that the hospital stays have become so frequent. There is no end in sight, BUT she is always such a blessing!! There are moments of frustration and even sad

This is way too hard of a choice to just choose one great mother I know!
But, I have to go with my mom. My mom is the hardest working, most selfless woman I know. She has always sacrificed her wants and needs for ours. While I was growing up she had two jobs: a day job at school and after a short hour break she was off to her second full-time job at the bank until 2 or 3 in the morning

I'd like to nominate my friend, Melissa. She was thrilled last year to discover that she was expecting her first baby. Shortly before Christmas she learned she was having a baby girl. But, the doctor met with them and gave them sad news. This sweet baby girl has anencephaly and will only live a few days at most. While many who hear this news terminate their pregnancy, Melissa has

My mom walked away from grad school and her love of zoology to have her family. She could have been a famous researcher or scientist, but she chose to be a mother to her kids instead. I am forever grateful. She taught us a love of science and nature. She is awesome!!

My daughter – a mother to four beautiful children- would so be worthy of this!!
She is a stay at home mom – managing the family, the household, teaching, enriching and guiding her children with love.

Now, she focuses her attention to the "

I would like to nominate my mother-in-law. She has 10 children, 10 children-in-law and almost 50 grandchildren. She raised all of her children to be strong in their faith and all while her husband worked for the church in various ways. I am sure she often felt exhausted and helpless throughout the years but we feel like she did everything right. There a 0 divorces with her children and I believe

What a beautiful necklace! Without hesitation I nominate my mother. As I've struggled with the process of becoming a mother myself (infertility) and finally having my miracle come true through adoption, I now realize the sacrifices and never ending love that my mother has for ME and my siblings. I always knew what an amazing mother she was, but now I understand what an amazing mother she

hi there! i am nominating my own mother. she raised my brother, sister and i on her own after our parents divorced when i was 13. she went back to school to complete her education and hasn’t turned back! after receiving her bachelor’s degree, she has since earned a master’s degree, and several counseling accrediations.
she has always supported us kids, but my sister was recently left as a single mom to a 3 year old and newborn. my mother moved to my sister’s city, acquired a home for all of them to live in and now takes care of my neice and nephew while my sister works.
she has put her life on hold to help her family, and would do it again if needed. she loves us deeply, and prays for her children and loved ones harder and more fervently than i have ever known.
i thank god for her every day! xo
