Hello! Whew…glad blogger is up and running again. We are going to be a little off schedule for the next couple days while we catch up. Thank you for your patience.
Today I am so happy to introduce you to…
Erin from Crafts & Sutch!
Not only is she drop dead gorgeous…this girl is such a fun mom, crafter, and jeweler as well.
She has her own etsy shop call Jewels & Sutch where she sells beautiful pieces like…
And this little beauty right here:
Notice all the blue? I think it’s quite perfect that she’s my blue guest. 🙂
She doesn’t just sell jewelry either. She teaches us how to make it on her blog.
She shares this simple, cute ring project:
And this great idea for changing up your necklaces:
She uses long beaded necklaces you already have to achieve this look. I know I have some necklaces that just aren’t the right length for most outfits so I don’t wear them often. This tutorial can fix that problem easy.
I know these are from Valentine’s Day, but I love her freezer paper stenciled shirts:
So…it’s not a new idea but I’m sharing it because she taught me that you can use a textile medium to turn any acrylic paint into fabric paint. GENIUS! I wish I would have known that before I just used straight acrylic paint on a few of my projects. It worked but with some problems which I will go into more next week.
One last project that I want to share from her blog is for kids. I am trying to collect more kid projects to keep Owen busy this summer and this is definitely on our list:
We’re going to have to do a Star Wars picture or something 🙂 but I know Owen is going to love this!
And you know what? Erin hasn’t even been blogging for a year! At the end of this month is her blog-o-versary.
She is sutch…. : ) a fun gal, a wonderful wife and mother, and a great blogger.
Here she is:
Hi there, Delia Creates Friends!
I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to spend some time with you all today! I adore Delia and her blog. Her projects are always a source of inspiration for me. As a mom to a little guy, I just love all of the things she does for her boys to make the “ordinary” days more memorable and special! 🙂
I’m Erin and I’m the girlie behind the scenes over at Crafts & Sutch! I have to admit I had hit a crafting brick wall until Delia invited me to join her Color My Summer series. I chose the color blue because it screams SUMMER to me…blue skies, cool pools, and crashing waves just make me want to pop on my sunglasses and soak up some summer sun.
I wanted to introduce a little bit of a beachy feel into my home for the summer, so I customized some fabric to create this sand dollar pillow in Carribean blue!
Can’t sew? Me either! 🙂 Don’t worry because I’ve gotcha covered!
I wanted to bring in the seas so I bleached the fabric with a sand dollar design, but this project could easily be adapted to fit into any decor.
Erin is a pro at making things no-sew and still well made.
You won’t want to miss this.
Head on over to her blog for the full tutorial.
And check out Kojodesigns for her delicious recipe today:

Thank you so much for inviting me to join your Color My Summer series, Delia! I had so much fun creating my "something blue." …and thank you so very much for the super duper sweet write up. It made me smile about a million times and just made me feel good! 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
