This morning, I released the Rowan Hat crochet pattern and now I’m excited to release the Emerson Beanie pattern!
It’s a crocheted, knit look beanie, with optional pom and optional slouch.
It’s a little more complicated than the Rowan, since it uses camel stitches worked in the round, but other than that, it is totally doable for a beginner as well.
It’s just $5…
…and it uses less yarn than my other patterns, which is a nice perk.
As with all my patterns, there are clear, color photo tutorials explaining how to get started and how to complete the pattern. I also include tips to help you create a hat you love!
The pattern is for all genders and sizes.
Here is the sizing chart and a little peek into what the pattern looks like:
What I love most about this hat, is that it is SO quick to whip up.
Minimal time and minimal yarn…this pattern makes a great handmade gift gifting staple.

This is an adorable hat and it looks like the techniques used are all on the easy side. Thanks.

Thank you Laura! Yes, all the stitches are simple enough for a beginner and super quick to whip up if you are more experienced.

I love both your new hats, Delia! The Rowan reminds me of the very first crochet projects I made. I love the ribbing. Congrats on two new patterns in one day–wow! And these photos are breathtaking.
Delia says
Thanks Anneliese! Yes, it is similar to those ribbed hats that are made using back loops only, but the Rowan is made using a camel stitch which gives it a more pronounced and knit like ribbing. I think it’s safe to say, the camel stitch is my favorite stitch right now since both hats use it but in different ways. 😉
Anneliese says
Aha! I was studying the pictures, thinking the ribbiming was more pronounced! I love it!
