Fall always puts me in the baking mood.
I haven’t been craving sweets much with this pregnancy, so savory items have been occupying our oven a bit more.
We re-made our tortilla chip leaves from last year…
Halloween style.
Some were cut with cookie cutters and others with kitchen shears. The cookie cutters are more work to use than it would seem. 🙂
This time I watered the soy sauce down a bit with about 3 parts soy sauce to 1 part water. It worked…much less salty but still nice and tasty.
It paired deliciously with hummus.
Wish I had a recipe to share, but I didn’t want to buy another big bottle of tahini when we use it so little, so this is store bought.
These chips are really simple to make, and healthier.
You just need tortillas, soy sauce {maybe beet juice if you like beets like me}, and some oven time. Go here for the original recipe.
It was fun to read my post from last year which was written almost exactly a year ago. This year though the trees are already ablaze with color. I can’t wait to go on a hike and snap some pictures with my kids!
Hope your day is beautiful!

What a great idea, I like the tortilla chips and how you use soy sauce to give colour. You always have such good ideas!
