We had a fun and exhausting trip to Toronto. What a beautiful place!
We attended my cousin’s wedding while we were there. It was a Catholic ceremony with a traditional Chinese Wedding dinner afterward. What a really neat experience. I am half Chinese but my wedding had no trace of my Chinese heritage. It was really fun to participate in this wedding dinner and to see everything just steeped and laden with tradition.
We didn’t have the moolah to buy me a new dress so I got this bolero to dress up an old dress. Then I made some flowers to go with it.
The boys got some bow ties to match using my tutorial here.
My youngest was a bit worn down with all the festivities. I got this picture with tears in his eyes. Poor guy.
While we were there we also got to see downtown…
the CN Tower…
The LDS Ontario Temple (so pretty)…
and ate lots and lots of food {this is from the wedding feast that was 10 courses- TEN}
Hope you are having a great week! We are still recovering. {insert deep exhale here}
P.S. There won’t be Five Friday Faves anymore. I’ll explain more later but I’ll share my favorites monthly maybe? See you later.

I just found your blog and have been having a wonderful time catching up on all your craftiness! I adore this bolero (you're gorgeous!)…. would you be willing to share the source of your pattern? I'd love to stitch up one of these to dress up a couple jersey dresses I have as my pregnant belly expands! Thanks a bunch 🙂 Keep up the great blogging!

They may talk like that in Ontario, but not here in British Columbia (where I live)! haha
I had to sit and say the words a couple times and look how you spelled it and how it would sound that way.. I was like.. "I don't say it like that!!" Then I read the rest of your post. 😉
Lovelove the pictures you took! (and lovelove your blog too!)
