I tried another Lucy flower with some pink broadcloth I had in my stash. It was way easier and helped me achieve the more structured look Tanya had with her flower. My only wish is that I had one of those rubber thimbles. The layers get quite thick and killed my fingers.
See how big it is?
Love.
Since broadcloth is $1.99/yard at Hobby Lobby NOT on sale and you only need 1/4 yard, you can make these flowers for about 50 cents. Yes….I might try another color that is more in sync with my wardrobe.
And slippers five…
I have been trying to brush up my crochet skills for some slippers I am making for Christmas gifts.
I am working on my fifth and final slipper pair…for now that is!
I have loooved making these slippers! I am kind of a beginner/intermediate crocheter and this pattern was so simple to follow.
I contacted the etsy seller who I bought the pattern from and she has agreed to do a giveaway next week for me! Yippee…my first giveaway!
So stay tuned and have a great weekend!

Love the flower and the slippers are awesome! I want to crochet. I tried knitting and it was too much for me. I really need more (non work) hours in the day so that I can try new projects.

I recently taught myself to crochet too! My first project was slippers – a different pattern… but I am definitely hooked! I feel like every time I sit down I need to be crocheting something to keep my hands busy 🙂 So fun!

How adorable are those slippers?!! I'm so impressed with your crochet skills. I can basically just do a single stitch… which I'm pretty sure is not even a "stitch." See? Uber-beginner here. 🙂 Really though, way to go! They'll make darling little gifts!
