Hello friends!
Even though Halloween was just a few days ago, I can already feel Christmas in the air. Can’t you? It might have something to do with the Christmas music playing over the intercom at the grocery store and all the decorations everywhere. Boy…they get an early start.
Whether you’re in a Christmas mood or mainly focused on Thanksgiving, I have a wonderful project that you can do this weekend to benefit others in need. That’s what the holidays are really about right?
Ottlite is sponsoring a mitten drive.
Just make mittens and send them their way so they can give them to those in need.
A simple, creative, fun way to give back this season.

You can sew them, knit them, or crochet them.
My personal goal is to make enough mittens for each person in our family…even the one in my tummy. So I’m helping to provide a set of mittens for another family like us.
I crocheted this pair here, using this crochet pattern. It was fun to learn how to do but I think I’ll probably sew the rest. 🙂
Go here to learn more about the Mitten Commitment.
They have a link to their blog which lists a lot of great mitten patterns as well.
I hope you have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend.
We might get snow tomorrow which I would admit that I’m excited about,
but I might get stoned by everyone around me. 🙂

Beautiful mittens! We got snow a few days before Halloween and I talked bad about it, but deep down it was a little exciting. 🙂 Just glad it melted before we went trick or treating.

A nice project, warm hands make you suffer less for the cold.
And your mittens are so pretty!
