Good morning fellow Delia Creates-readers! I’m Sabra and I blog at Sew a Straight Line. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be here today! Like Delia is about to do, we added our first girl to our previously-all-son family two months ago. Ivy is sweet and soft and adorable, and we’re completely in love with her. It’s so fun to have a girl, as girl projects are all about details and accessorizing. And nothing epitomizes this aspect more than the ruffle. Slap a ruffle anywhere and you’ve pretty much girled things right up.
But as a mom of three boys, I like to find ways to sneak fun details into their clothing, too.
Today I want to share a quick and easy pant with you that allows for individualizing no matter the gender. My pattern uses just about half a yard total of knit fabric, so you can easily use an upcycled t-shirt or put to use any larger knit scraps you have laying around. At least that’s what I did.
Just click the fun little be-bummed button here to go to the full instructions with downloadable PDFs in three infant sizes:
Thanks Delia for letting me nest along with you. I can’t wait to see your new little one!

Thanks for sharing and so glad they are gender neutral!
Another great baby sewing project! Off to check it out…
So cute Sabra! I love the skull bum. You did a great job! Thanks Sabra!
Sooooooooo cute! What gorgeous ways to cover up those little bums.
