Man…this girl can SEW.
One of the first things that attracted me to her blog was her
sewing through the decades series from last summer.
She made clothing for every decade from 1900 through 2010.
You can spend HOURS looking through all of her stuff from that series. I did. 🙂 I especially love all the sewing history she included. She is very knowledgable and a good teacher.
Christie is also a pro at making adorable girly dresses and skirts for her little girl. I love these summery ones:
And she doesn’t just sew girl clothes. She also makes cool things like this:
A bike basket for her boys.
And one for her too.
A sleek wet bag.
Great for the pool.
A cool bunk bed fort.
SO perfect for a summer project.
And this fun
ruffled vase. Just right for picking wildflowers. 🙂
And… she is one of the most beautiful, kindest souls you will ever meet. I have never met her in person {although I hope to one day!}, but I have loved getting to know her through blogging and emailing.
She sincerely loves her family, her faith, and creating beautiful things.
Her tutorials are so detailed and easy to follow. She really does make everything seem easy peasy – A Lemon Squeezy…home. 🙂
And today she is going to share another beautiful dress tutorial with us.
Here’s Christie!
I’m so excited to be participating in the Color My Summer series today!
I have loved every bit of it so far. It has been so fun to see all
the wonderfully COLORFUL items everyone has created!

Delia is one of my favorite bloggers. She is such a lovely person!
Her photography is breathtaking. Her blog is one of the most happy and
peaceful blogs around, and just an overall inspiring place to be!

When Delia asked me what color I’d want to focus on, I first went with
green because it’s my favorite color. But I started to think about
summer and things that I love, and poppies came to mind.

Orange poppies!
They are so fun, bright, and cheery!
This dress is really
simple to sew, and I’ve included instructions on how to make one for
any age.

Thanks so much for checking the link. I can see it now 🙂 The dress is ADORABLE, but I have no little girls at home.. 🙁 I am thinking of using the poppies in my house as decoration as my bedroom has suddenly turned into this whole poppy themed thing… 🙂 Thanks again!!

I too have no girls, but WOW I am so stoked about trying that bike basket! My little guy will absolutely LOVE it! I can see it getting filled with bug nets, die cast cars and bouncy balls, and of course, dirt! No doubt one of the next things I make 🙂 Thanks for sharing- loving this series! Everything you do is classy awesome, delia 🙂
