Do you simmer your apple and citrus peels in a small pot of apple juice, cloves and cinnamon too?
I wish you all had smell-o-vision.
This smells divine. It’s one of my favorite things to do this time of year, even after the Christmas decorations are all put away.
Once it starts bubbling I turn it to low and let it waft heavenly scents through our house for most of the day.
I find myself peeling an apple just so I can make some stove top potpourri.
“She could peel an apple…in one long curly strip.” – Tom Hanks
Watching that movie is also one of my favorite things to do this time of year. 🙂 It’s a good movie to watch while you wrap gifts…
and drink some warm, spicy wassail.

- i love it! does this make anybody else think of never been kissed? “it’s all about horseshoes!”
And I guess I need to re-watch that movie too. I don’t remember all the horseshoe references.

Every single time I peel an apple I think of that quote!
