Did you know she also sews? She doesn’t show it too often on her blog, but she does and very well too.
Lucky for us is going to sew for us today.
Here’s Lorajean!
Hello!
Lorajean here from Lorajean’s Magazine.
First off I want to thank Delia for asking me to participate, I feel honored! I discovered Delia’s blog a while back and immediately started following her. She is so talented, and so many awesome tutorials in one place! It wasn’t till later that I finally figured out that we lived in the same town! 🙂 We have gotten together a few times since and I have to say she really is as sweet in real life as she is in on her blog! 🙂
I knew right away that with Delia and Kojodesigns at the head this was going to be great, but Color My Summer is turning out to be so fantastic!! I really am impressed with the posts I have seen so far and I’m sure the posts yet to come are sure to be just as great or better! 🙂
The color I chose was yellow. I knew right away that to me, summer meant yellow. Playing in the hot yellow summer sun, and sipping yellow lemonade are the first two things I thought of when thinking of yellow and summer. So I came up with a project that incorporated both enjoying the sun and eating.
What does both of those better than a picnic?! So it seemed so perfect to show you how to make a yellow picnic basket liner!
I used a bushel basket since It was the biggest basket I had, and also because I thought it would be an easy basket for others to find. Trent got ours at Hobby Lobby along with a cute little matching peck basket. 🙂
This picnic basket liner has huge pockets for all your picnic needs and is fairly simple to make. I made it in one afternoon and that includes all the troubleshooting I had to do!
Thanks again Delia!
Oh so, perfect for summer picnics!
Thanks for going the extra mile and making another project of perfection Lorajean!
Go here for the full tutorial.
And go see Kojodesigns for this bright, cheery…

So many great things in this post and I'm obsessed with the Harper's Homemade bread in her basket! We moved from Utah about a year ago and I miss getting a loaf of it at Lee's. It's as good as homemade bread gets!
